An Optimization Method for Quasi-linear Stochastic Systems in Application to the Flexible Satellite Optimal Stabilization Problem

This paper presents theoretical results derived by authors for a quasi-linear stochastic control problem with incomplete information. The information constraints manifest themselves in that each component of the control strategy vector depends on a preliminary assigned set of precisely measured state vector components. The results are used to the flexible satellite stabilization problem. The flexible satellite is a perfectly rigid artificial Earth satellite with an elastic rod represented by a radio antenna or gravitational stabilization girder. The paper contains the solutions of satellite stabilization problem in various cases of information constraints. These results allow one to choose a suitable set of the satellite dynamical parameters to be measured. (In Russian).

Key words:
flexible satellite, stochastic optimal control, incomplete information.

Analytical design of controllers for quasi-linear systems on the infinite time interval

This paper discusses the optimal control problem of the time invariant quasi-linear systems on the infinite time interval. Necessary and sufficient condition for the optimal feedback control are presented. Using this condition, the mechanical manipulator optimal control problem has been solved. (In Russian).

Key words: optimal control, quasi-linear systems, stochastics systems, infinite time interval, mechanical manipulator.

On the free Carnot (2, 3, 5, 8) group

We consider the free nilpotent Lie algebra L with 2 generators, of step 4, and the corresponding connected simply connected Lie group G, with the aim to study the left-invariant sub-Riemannian structure on G defined by the generators of L as an orthonormal frame.
We compute two vector field models of L by polynomial vector fields in
8, and find an infinitesimal symmetry of the sub-Riemannian structure. Further, we compute explicitly the product rule in G and the right-invariant frame on G.
Key Words and Phrases: Sub-Riemannian geometry, Carnot group.

On Control Processes in the Systems of Counteracting Spins

The model of quantum system of interacting spins based on Shr¨odinger equation with linear control is transformed to the derived system (known from the degenerate problems theory), equivalent to the original one, but regular and simmetric opens new perspectives of investigaton for different particular cases. It is considered a typical case when control action is distributed uniformly to all spins. In this case the derived system proved to be same Shr¨odinger equation without control and regular description of impulse control modes at the boundaries of time interval. An effective algorithm of control optimization is proposed. (In Russian).

Key words: quantum system, spin chain, Shr¨odinger equation, optimal control, derived system, degenerate problem, impulse control, turnpike solution, global improvement method.
